So this 13 year old kid keeps begging and begging his mom for an iPhone, and wouldn't you know it...Christmas morning, he finds one under the tree! But the phone came with a certain set of rules, not just for the iPhone, but for life! The mom wanted to impart some wisdom and  also instill a bit of responsibility...like any parent would before giving their kid something of this magnitude. The first rule: "It is my phone. I bought it. I pay for it. I am loaning it to you. Aren't I the greatest?" but it goes much deeper than that. Like rule #14 which states:  Leave your phone home sometimes and feel safe and secure in that decision.  It is not alive or an extension of you.  Learn to live without it.  Be bigger and more powerful than FOMO -- fear of missing out.
