List #1 is her quick list. Very simple things she can do whenever she finds a few extra minutes. On her list right now are things like painting her fingernails or listening to an old song she loved back in high school or making a healthy morning smoothie to kick off her day just right. Things on her short list don’t take more than 5-10 minutes in most cases and they deliver that little punch of happy that’s needed each day…or once a week at the very least.

List #2 is her bigger ticket list. On it are things that are bit more time consuming but still beloved. Things like taking her daughter to a new movie or trying a new recipe or going on a hike or packing up a picnic and lunching in the park. At least one thing on the long list should get done each month – that is the goal. However, aiming for more than one can only do you good.

If you could build a couple lists for your own happiness project (and you should) what would you put on it? Try to think of things that would take just 5 minutes of your time each day. And then think of things that you haven’t done in a while (or haven’t done at all) because they’re more time consuming…and put that on your list too!
